DIY low Cost Open-Source-powered Smart Home in a rented Flat
Do it yourself! This talk is about how to do home automation with the constrain of low cost the power of open source soft- and hardware and eveything put together in a rented flat located the middle of Hamburg. You get a detailed view to some DIY solutions to things you probably want in your own home like remote control lights (BLE and 433 mhz) and sockets or multi room audio. Every solution is based on the Raspberry Pi and its open source environment. A variety of open source software was compiled to achieve the different solutions which will be described in a how-to like format.
